Swain Family Care welcomes certified physician assistant Angela Struna

Bryson City, N.C. – Swain Family Care is pleased to welcome certified physician assistant Angela Struna who began seeing patients this month. She joins Tammy Johnston, MD, David Johnston, MD, pediatrician Brooke Budde, DO, and certified physician assistant Vicki McCormack. Struna has 22 years of combined active duty service with the U.S. military as a member of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Air Force Reserves, and Wyoming Air National Guard. She most recently practiced as a physician assistant in urgent care and family medicine in Cheyenne, Wyo., while serving as a physician assistant in the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Struna graduated from the physician assistant program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Va. Her medical experience in the military includes serving as a captain and treating a range of conditions in the field. She holds a certification in chronic disease management and performs minor office procedures.
