Swain Community Hospital to host Open House for Senior Life Solutions

Bryson City, NC – Swain County Hospital will host an open house for Senior Life Solutions July 18 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Senior Life Solutions center located at 45 Plateau Street in Bryson City.

Senior Life Solutions is a program dedicated to addressing the emotional and behavioral health of adults over the age of 65 and is designed to provide assistance to individuals suffering from symptoms including, but not limited to: crying, hopelessness, loneliness, restlessness and sadness. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist Gerald Travis, MD, licensed therapist, registered nurse and additional support staff ensuring members receive the best possible care and treatment options.

The July 18th open house event is an invitation for the community to view the Senior Life Solutions center and meet on-site psychiatrist Dr. Gerald Travis.

Patients can self-refer to the Senior Life Solutions program, or referrals can be made by a patient’s physician, family member, or other healthcare professional. For more information or to make an appointment, call (828) 488-4044.
