Steve Heatherly

Steve Heatherly has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital since March 2012, having previously held finance and strategy leadership positions at Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital since 2001. He has also served as CEO of a multi-specialty, physician-owned neurosciences practice in the region. Steve holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in business administration from Western Carolina University. He received a B.S. in finance from the University of North Carolina-Asheville.

Steve has provided financial leadership to Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital in several roles, including as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for a number of hospital departments such as Finance, Accounting, Patient Accounting, Patient Registration, Information Technology and the operations of collaborative physician partnerships. Steve was Executive Vice-President for Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital, a role in which he pioneered employed physician models for the system. Steve is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association. He serves on several local boards, including: Southwestern Community College Foundation, Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County, Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Western North Carolina Health Network, Clyde Youth Basketball Organization, and Advanced Home Care.


Matt Seagroves

Matthew Seagroves serves as Chief Financial Officer for Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital, providing leadership and direction for the hospitals’ financial affairs as well as patient admissions and registration, health information management, accounting, materials management, facilities management and information technology. Matt most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Hospital Compliance Officer for Brooksville Regional Hospital, a 120-bed facility near Tampa, Fla. In his previous roles, Matt has provided leadership for the financial operations of hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and associated physician practices, as well as overseeing health information management, case/resource management, information technology, and materials management departments.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting and a Master of Health Services Administration, both from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA.


Jacky Bradley,

Jacky Bradley began working at Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital in 2003 as Director of Imaging, Registration and Cardiopulmonary Services. Jacky has held radiology, laboratory, cardiopulmonary and sleep medicine leadership positions at other organizations throughout the region and most recently served as Senior Director of Ancillary Services for Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Mars Hill College and completed his clinical training at Asheville-Buncombe College. Jacky is American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-certified in Radiography, Computerized Radiography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and is a Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA). At Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital Jacky has leadership responsibility for multiple clinical, operational and support departments.


Lucretia Stargell

Lucretia Stargell has been with Harris Regional Hospital & Swain Community Hospital since 2007 and leads business and service line development for Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital with responsibility for the communications, marketing, community relations and physician recruitment and liaison functions of the organization. She also serves as the onsite administrator for Swain Community Hospital. Prior to joining Harris & Swain, Lucretia worked in healthcare marketing and media relations in the Midwest after a 10-year career in print and television journalism. She is a graduate of Hollins College and completed additional studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In her role at Harris & Swain, Lucretia is responsible for working with physicians, staff and the community in developing and executing growth strategies in support of expanding access to quality healthcare in the region.


Dedra Vinson
Market Director, Physician Network

Dedra Vinson joined Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital in 1997 and currently serves as the market director of the physician network with additional responsibility for Sylva Urgent Care and Mountain Regional Radiation Therapy Center. She has extensive experience in managing and operating physician practices. Prior to joining Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital she served as administrator of Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital Medical Park of Franklin, an outpatient facility providing primary and subspecialty care as well as laboratory, imaging and rehabilitation services. Dedra has experience in every aspect of the medical setting having worked in both clinical and non-clinical positions. She obtained her clinical training and education at Lanier College and Bernau College. The physician network spans the Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital service area and currently includes 13 physician practices and nearly 50 providers.


Becky Wilkes

Becky Wilkes has 21 years of experience in human resources at Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital. She serves on the senior leadership team as director of human resources. Becky holds certification as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) attaining the credential in 2009. At Harris Regional Hospital and Swain Community Hospital she is responsible for leading all aspects of human resources, including performance management, employee satisfaction, career development, benefits management and labor standards compliance.
